CHANUKAH CELEBRATION AT THE SHALOM SENIOR CENTER

Once again this year activities were in full swing for Chanukah at the Shalom Center. Every day at the Shalom Center is enjoyable but nothing compares to Chanukah.

The center was decorated in honor of Chanukah and each day there were special treats such as donuts and latkes.

Each day we were visited by the various schools in the neighborhood. Each group of children performed for the seniors and then distributed homemade Chanukah cards.

On Thursday we had our annual Chanukah Party with musical entertainment and everyone participating with singing and clapping.

With a sense of sadness Chanukah comes to an end but the warmth of the wonderful atmosphere here at the Center will remain with our seniors for a long time.
